Buying my first home....

About a week ago someone asked, "Jenn when are you going to buy a house?"  (That is a normal question when you work in a real estate office and don't own a home)  My answer was the same answer I've been giving for years, "Someday".  Something happened when I answered this last time.

I heard a little voice that said, "Why can't today be your someday Jenn?"

Why can't today be my someday?  What am I waiting for?  I thought I didn't make enough money to buy a house, I thought I didn't have good enough credit.  So the thought came to me, "See what you qualify for, see what programs are out there and start doing some SERIOUS saving of money."

I found a handful of houses I liked.  Then I found out how much I could afford and my handful of houses went down to 4.

The first house was real small.  There were tons of trees in the front and back yard.  One of the trees looked like the mean tree from the Wizard of Oz.  The one bedroom was really the washer/dryer room.

The second house is the house I feel in love with it.  It's listed for 119,900.  I'm absolutly in love!  It has a nice size living room... thel iving room goes right into the kitchen (no dinning room).... you can put a little 4 seater table in the kitchen.  There is a stackable washer and dryer in the kitchen in a closet.  There are two bedrooms.  I'm not sure which one I will sleep in yet... they are both cute though.  There's a bathroom with bath tub (bath tubs are a MUST)  then off of the kitchen there is a sunroom!  Oh My God!  It's sooo damn cute!  oh I can't wait to buy this house.  The back yard is huge and beautiful and makes me happy! lol

I don't qualify for enough money to buy the house.  When It alked to the Mortgage lady she said that I needed to get at least a dollar an hour raise.  I came up with an idea of how to get that raise and then some!  I'm going to sit down and talk to Bob about it tomorrow.  I hope and pray here hears me.

Anyway -- that's where I'm at.  I want to buy a house and a raise is the only thing that is stopping me.

This is an exciting experience to say the least.
